Thanks for nothing New Hampshire

I predicted back in March that Obama would be the winner in November. I prayed and hoped that McCain would pull it out of the fire but in the end he was no match for the power of the press and the Chicago machine.

So how was it that we ended up with McCain in the first place? He was nearly written off in late December until the crossover voters (again) in New Hampshire gave him a new lease on life and that was the beginning of the end for our 2008 hopes of keeping the White House.

So back to my original question, why is it that we let the libs and moderates in NH pick our candidate this time? In 2000 we saw W make better inroads in SC and he got enough on the Super Tuesdays to gain momentum and the rest is history.

So for my first voting experience (the Republican Primary in Ohio) I was left with either a crossover vote for Hillary (which I nearly did) or a vote for McCain. My guy (Fred Thomson) pulled out, he was just not on fire enough to make it happen. I liked his ideas and I liked his rhetoric. I ended up not even voting that time ( I had to work) bottom line, by the time the Ohio primary was run it was pretty much a done deal.

I feel like I was ripped off by New Hampshire and I ask again why did they get to choose the candidate?
