Why the New Voter?

The reason for this blog is really to give me a place to write my musings as they come to me in no particular order and for the sake of my sanity as we endure the next 4 years of Obamamania.

I became a citizen on Sept 21st 2007 for the express purpose of being able to vote in the 2008 Presidential election. Looking back it was a lot of work and effort to have my vote nullified by some homeless guy in Columbus or wherever ACORN was able to dig up a warm body to go vote for Oblahblah.

I sure learned a lot along the way. I have paid attention to politics ever since coming here from Australia. This time at least I got a chance to pull the lever! I was glad to participate just not happy with the results.
